  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Peel and slice fresh peaches.
  3. Toss peaches with sugars, cornstarch, lemon juice, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  4. Let peaches rest for 15–20 minutes.
  5. Pour melted butter into a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  6. Whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and milk.
  7. Pour batter over melted butter without stirring.
  8. Spoon peaches and juices evenly over the batter.
  9. Bake for 45–55 minutes until golden brown.
